The AI Team is an AI implementation consultancy operating in South Africa. We design and ship AI receptionists, automation systems, and operational tooling for South African small businesses, under fixed-price packages.

Every engagement starts with a free 60-minute discovery call. The call is provided at no cost and carries no obligation to proceed. Following the call we may provide a written roadmap and a quote for any recommended engagement. Any fees for work beyond the free discovery call are set out and agreed with you in writing before that work begins.
The Pilot, The Programme, and The A-Team engagements are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement (MSA) signed by both parties. The MSA covers scope, deliverables, payment terms, IP, confidentiality, data processing, term, and termination. Anything on this page is summary only and is overridden by the MSA.
In summary: each package is a fixed once-off setup fee plus a monthly retainer. Setup fee is 50% upfront, 50% on go-live. Monthly retainer is invoiced monthly in advance. Cancellation requires 30 days written notice after the first 90 days.
All prices are quoted in ZAR and exclude VAT (we are not currently VAT-registered; this changes if turnover exceeds the threshold). Payment is via EFT to our SA business account. Late payments may attract interest at the prescribed rate under the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act.
We design our systems to handle the majority of real-world cases and to escalate to a human when uncertain. AI is not infallible. The client retains responsibility for monitoring AI output, particularly during the first 30 days post-launch. We commit to fixing material defects in the AI configuration; we do not warrant that the AI will produce 100% correct output 100% of the time. Specifics are set out in the MSA.
The AI Team name, logo, website content, and our reusable internal frameworks are owned by us. Custom configurations, prompts, and integrations built specifically for a client's business are licensed to the client for as long as the engagement runs and for 90 days thereafter, unless otherwise agreed in the MSA.
To the maximum extent permitted by SA law, our total liability to any client is limited to the fees that client has paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability. We are not liable for acts of third parties (AI providers, integration partners), force majeure events, or indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under SA law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
Both parties agree to keep confidential information shared during an engagement confidential. Specifics are set out in the MSA.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are first addressed by good-faith discussion, then mediation, then the courts of South Africa, which both parties agree have exclusive jurisdiction.
